Can I have a campsite next to a friend? 

We cannot guarantee that you are next to your friend as we do not allocate sites. We run on a first in, first served basis on arrival. Outside of peak periods there is ample space.

Are the camping sites allocated?

No. It is an unallocated bush camping ground within a National park setting. Your campsite can be set up anywhere within the camp grounds.

What is the water source?

The facility is connected to town water.

Do we have a dump point?

No. The site is run on a septic system.

Can I have a fire?

Yes, we allow small campfires in designated fire pits or you can bring your own fire pit. Restrictions are subject to local weather conditions, current RFS advice and total fire bans from governing authorities.

Can I bring my fire pit?

Yes, all campfires need to be extinguished prior to being unattended.

Can we source firewood from the surrounding bush lands?

No, as the campground is surrounded by a protected National Park.

Do you sell firewood?

We sell 20kg hardwood bags from the local sawmill. $25 per bag or 2 for $40.

Can I park my car next to my campsite?

Yes, however during peak periods, Christmas and Easter, it is required that cars be parked outside of the camp ground due to safety concerns. There is adequate parking outside the camp grounds.

Do you have hot showers?

Yes, showers are 2x 20c coins for 3 minutes of hot water. 20c can be exchanged at the office.

Do you sell ice?

Yes, we sell Lidcombe bags. 5kg for $5.

Do you have a camp kitchen?

No, although we do have hot and cold washing up facilities behind our campground amenities.

Can I bring my dog?

As much as we love our furry friends, we do not allow pets on site due to National Park guidelines.

Is the beach patrolled?

No, Wairo Beach is not a patrolled surf beach. The closest patrolled surf beach is at Mollymook.
